Excited to share my recent interview with Loop Jamaica during my time on island! While conducting a Crisis Communication and Media Management workshop in Jamaica , I had the opportunity to sit down with Loop Jamaica’s reporter Lynford Simpson, to discuss the critical intersection of crisis communications, social media, and data protection. In today’s digital landscape, organizations face unprecedented challenges when managing communications during crises, particularly when sensitive data is involved.
During the interview, I shared insights on how Caribbean businesses and institutions can develop robust crisis communication strategies that address the unique challenges of social media while safeguarding data integrity.
The conversation explored how the rapid spread of information (and misinformation) on social platforms has transformed the crisis management landscape, requiring organizations to be more agile, transparent, and strategic than ever before. We also discussed practical approaches to maintaining trust when data breaches occur and how proper preparation can make all the difference.
My sincere thanks to Loop Jamaica for this engagement that allowed me to share knowledge beyond the training room. As Caribbean professionals, sharing expertise across our region strengthens our collective resilience in an increasingly complex communication environment.
